Just thought I would share a picture of a Great New Ventriloquist Noah Simmons and Sydney His New Character Butler. This is one of my James The Butler characters that Noah now owns, and has renamed Sydney. Looks like the Butler is going to have some new work to do. Enjoy, MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Dummy James The Butler

Back in June I started a new sculpture for a new and improved James The Butler Character. I made this sculpture much larger than the original character head, which was a size 2-T. This new cast head when finished will be a large 3-T size or Full Size Character model. I hope to get the silicone rubber mold made some time next week, and soon after I will cast the first head. I have changed and tweaked the clay sculpture some from the last pictures I posted. The nose is slightly reshaped, the chin and mouth were redone to make for a better and wider opening, and the hair was resculpted again. Here are some pictures so far. Enjoy, MontanaDan

Earlier in June, I told you that Mike Brose at Puppets and Props had a New Ventriloquist Dummy Cast Head for purchase on his site. The character is Mike's "Sparky" character. Jeff Dunham and James The Butler

I received an email from Glenn Chelius about a young ventriloquist - 12 year old Noah Simmons. Noah was given one of my James Butler Figures as a gift from Glenn, and he showed it off to Jeff Dunham. Glenn sent this picture showing Jeff bringing James to Life. What Fun! Thanks Glenn, MontanaDan.

Harvey comes dressed as pictured, and has moving side to side eyes, and moving mouth. A great character, He is ready to have some fun at his new home. I will have another one ready soon. MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Figure Harvey

Harvey, my newest ventriloquist dummy character is coming along quite nice. Yesterday I painted the head and jaw, and mounted the jaw and eyes. Today I added the headstick and tonight I hooked up the controls. Tomorrow I will finish the painting, and body. This is my second Harvey figure, and I should have him ready to list on eBay on Friday.

Ventriloquist Dummy Body

Today I put together a couple of Ventriloquist Dummy Bodies. I still need to sand and prepare the hands for painting. These bodies are light weight, and are the ideal size for walk-around vents. I use a 2-T body with larger 3-T hands, available at Braylu Creations. I also put together one of the headsticks. MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Dummy Parts

It is always fun to put the parts together once you have everything ready. The only problem is you can't put them together until you have everything ready! LOL, I have been working on a couple of the Harvey Character heads this week. I have just about got one of them ready to install the jaw, and the eyes, but before I do that I will paint the mouthpiece and head. Last night I glued the eye posts and iris's into place, and let them sit overnight.
Today I finished patching the head with Magic Sculpt, as to get a good fit for the jaw, and I started on another head, cutting out the eyes, jaw, and trap door in the back of the head. Tomorrow I paint. Stay Tuned, MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Dummy "Harvey"

I received some supplies this week, so I thought I would get busy and make some Ventriloquist Dummies. Today I made three cast heads of my Harvey character. I have been finishing up on my New Butler Sculpture, but haven't created a mold yet. I need to order some silicone rubber and pick up a few more items before I start on him. In the mean time, I will be making a few Harvey Figures to put up on ebay. Stay Tuned, MontnanDan

Ventriloquist Dummy James The Butler

One of the first characters I created was James The Butler. I sold quite a few of this popular character, but because the cast head was a size 2-T, it was quite difficult to work with. I have found the larger size cast head, such as with my newest character Harvey, much easier to work with. So I have decided to re-create James The Butler in a larger size. I have already started on the sculpture, and should be ready to make a new silicone rubber mold and cast head in the coming weeks. Stay Tuned for future updates. MontanaDan
