Double Dummy Deal is a new card game created by Ventriloquist Dummy Builder “MontanaDan” Daniel W. Leighly.

The Double Dummy Deal Card Deck has 70 cards. The deck is broken down into the following areas: 50 Dummy Player cards, each with different Color Numbers: Red-Blue- Green-and Yellow, matching the players.
4 Dummy Aces "White Dot" Neutral Cards. 4 Character Cards each with a different Color Dot: Red-Blue-Green-or Yellow. Four Double Trouble Cards "Player Receives Double Points". Four Wild Cards "Player Receives Triple Points" and Matches any card. Four Dummy Cards "Player Loses Points". Four colored six sided dice, One Red, One Blue, One Green, and One Yellow. The game is designed for 2-4 players, and can be played in several ways.

Ventriloquist Dummy Cast Heads

Hey guys, I am still working on my New James Butler Characters, and I thought I would share a few pictures of my progress. There is still some work to do inside the heads for the controls, and I still need to attach the headsticks, but so far everything is coming along nicely. Below are some pictures of the two heads I am working on, one with brown eyes, and one with blue. I am doing both of these ventriloquist figures at the same time so they are about 75% done, and should both be completed next week. Look for them on eBay! MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Dummy Heads

Here are a couple of pictures of the James The Butler Character heads I am working on. I have already cut out the eyes, jaw, and the trap door. I did some patching on the heads, and formed the mouth pieces with teeth and tongues. Tomorrow I will fit the jaws into place, and do some work on the insides of the heads. MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Dummy James The Butler

Back in June I started a new sculpture for a new and improved James The Butler Character. I made this sculpture much larger than the original character head, which was a size 2-T. This new cast head when finished will be a large 3-T size or Full Size Character model. I hope to get the silicone rubber mold made some time next week, and soon after I will cast the first head. I have changed and tweaked the clay sculpture some from the last pictures I posted. The nose is slightly reshaped, the chin and mouth were redone to make for a better and wider opening, and the hair was resculpted again. Here are some pictures so far. Enjoy, MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Figure Harvey

Harvey, my newest ventriloquist dummy character is coming along quite nice. Yesterday I painted the head and jaw, and mounted the jaw and eyes. Today I added the headstick and tonight I hooked up the controls. Tomorrow I will finish the painting, and body. This is my second Harvey figure, and I should have him ready to list on eBay on Friday.

Ventriloquist Dummy Body

Today I put together a couple of Ventriloquist Dummy Bodies. I still need to sand and prepare the hands for painting. These bodies are light weight, and are the ideal size for walk-around vents. I use a 2-T body with larger 3-T hands, available at Braylu Creations. I also put together one of the headsticks. MontanaDan

Ventriloquist Dummy Parts

It is always fun to put the parts together once you have everything ready. The only problem is you can't put them together until you have everything ready! LOL, I have been working on a couple of the Harvey Character heads this week. I have just about got one of them ready to install the jaw, and the eyes, but before I do that I will paint the mouthpiece and head. Last night I glued the eye posts and iris's into place, and let them sit overnight.
Today I finished patching the head with Magic Sculpt, as to get a good fit for the jaw, and I started on another head, cutting out the eyes, jaw, and trap door in the back of the head. Tomorrow I paint. Stay Tuned, MontanaDan

I received some supplies this week, so I thought I would get busy and make some Ventriloquist Dummies. Today I made three cast heads of my Harvey character. I have been finishing up on my New Butler Sculpture, but haven't created a mold yet. I need to order some silicone rubber and pick up a few more items before I start on him. One of the first characters I created was James The Butler. I sold quite a few of this popular character, but because the cast head was a size 2-T, it was quite difficult to work with. I have found the larger size cast head, such as with my newest character Harvey, much easier to work with. So I have decided to re-create James The Butler in a larger size. Hi Guys, It's been awhile since my last post. I took a couple of months off to just unwind, and catch up on all kinds of things. I have been working on my stamp collection, playing a new game called Skyrim, and basically relaxing. Today I decided to make a mold and cast a new Ventriloquist Figure Head. This is Harvey. Ventriloquist Dummy In A Theater Near You

I never know where one of my little guys may wind up. Once I ship them to their new home, I can only hope for the best. Sometimes the little guys can make you proud. One of my little Ventriloquist Figures "JellyBean Jack" ended up landing a nice part in the play Enron by LUCY PREBBLE, Directed by ANTONI CIMOLINO, Starring GRAHAM ABBEY, BARRY FLATMAN, RYLAN WILKIE and BRIGIT WILSON.
